Tae Kwon Do is a modern martial art that grew from the centuries of experience and learning in tradition martial arts. One of the key baromoters to a students progress through the art is the execution of patterns or tul.
A pattern is a set of fundamental movements, mainly defence and attack, set in a logical sequence to deal with one or more imaginary opponents. We practice patterns to improve our Tae Kwon Do techniques in a controlled environment. They help develop muscle power and control, balance, breathing and flexibility.
